Not to mention that death from cold is far greater than death from heat. That doesn't mean that we ought to accept more heat death for less net death. (Crank up the AC!) Yet if they're proposing shutting down modern life in the name of avoiding more heat death, they must acknowledge the context of how many cold deaths will be prevented. But then, that wouldn't fan the fear and hysteria.

Of course, the solution to death from both heat and cold is to use machines and energy to control our immediate climate (i.e. heaters, AC, etc.).

"The summer of 2024 was Arizona’s hottest on record." Well, maybe. I live here and pay attention to these claims and look at my own thermometers. They often read lower than the reported temperature. Phoenix has a major problem with ridiculous placement of thermometers. For instance, see:
